Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Department, Head Office, and International NOTAM Office (NOF) located at Tribhuvan International Airport are under the Aviation Service (AS) Directorate of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

It is established to take initiation for the aeronautical Information Service, which forms part of the CAAN, and ensures the flow (collection and dissemination) of information necessary for the safety, regularity, and efficiency of international and national air navigation within the area of its responsibility. ie: the entire airspace encompassed by the Kathmandu Flight Information Region (VNSM) in lieu of ICAO standards and national regulations for safe, smooth, and reliable aviation activities.
